Why Broadband
With more and more people joining the millions of other broadband users every week, should you remain on dial-up? For the majority of people, the benefits of obtaining a broadband connection outweighs the few benefits of continuing to use a dialup connection.
As soon as you make the switch from dial-up, you will realise what have been missing all of these years, and will not want to consider returning. Unlike dial-up, you can be on the internet as long as you want, when you want, without paying a penny more - since broadband is 'always on'.
The first thing you will realise about broadband is how much faster it is than dial-up. The fastest speeds available provide an online connection of up to 160 times faster than a standard dial-up connection. That's a whole 8Mb connection, compared to 56Kb - all from roughly the same price. Just think, you can watch all of the latest music videos, film trailers in seconds, rather than the minutes it takes over dialup.
You can even free up your phone line as well. Since broadband is a digital service, you can use it at the same time as your phone. Our broadband prices start from just £9.98 a month - so you will find a package which will best suit you, however, the majority of users are happy with our lowest priced package. See more information on our broadband packages.
We have provided some common questions and answers below, that can confuse many first time broadband users - see more broadband frequently asked questions (FAQs).
Does Speed Matter?
Since broadband comes in several different speeds, the higher the speed you opt for, the faster your internet downloads will be. Having say an 8Mb broadband connection does not necessarily mean that web pages will loads any faster than what they will on a 512Kb connection - yes it will load up those trailers and videos faster, but if you just browse through forums, and news pages, there is no real difference in loading time. However, it is still a vast improvement on the time it took for a dialup page to load. See what speeds are available on your phone line.
What is Bandwidth, and how Much do I Need?
With broadband, you pay a one-off monthly subscription fee - not per minute like pay as you go dialup works. Bandwidth is the amount of usage that you consume when using broadband, sometimes you could be limited to X GB of usage each month, of which can can use it with what you see fit.
Many sources indicate that 90% of broadband users normally use 2GB or less each month. Nowadays, many ISPs cap broadband use to a particular level, of say 2GB per month - this usually means that monthly subscriptions are lower. However here at Zaggle.co.uk, we like to give our users the best option - unlimited usage - this means that you can use the internet as much as you want, without having to worry about what you have used so far.
Is it Possible to Switch Packages at a Later Date?
If you decide that you are on a package that is not for you, perhaps you need more, or even less bandwidth, or would like a faster, or slower speed - then all of this is possible to change at a later date, if needed be.
